General terms and conditions for shopping with us
Competence
To make a purchase from us you must be at least 18 years old. For swords the minimum age is 21 years according to Swedish law. It is your responsibility as a customer to be aware of the applicable laws and age restrictions in your country of residence.
JJ Custom Works takes no responsibility for orders placed in violation of our terms and conditions or for improper use of purchased products. It is the buyer's responsibility to comply with the terms and conditions and ensure that they have sufficient information for the safe and responsible handling of the purchased goods. If in doubt, please contact us via the contact form.
Prices and payment
- All orders are shipped after payment has been received or after approval from one of our payment providers.
- Payments are processed during checkout via bank transfer, Swish or direct deposit. Payments can also be made in person at pick-up via Swish.
- Payments from international accounts or via bank transfers may take 1-3 business days to be registered in our system.
- Orders are only shipped after payment is confirmed. COD is only available for deliveries to registered addresses within Sweden and incurs additional costs. COD is not available outside Sweden.
- All prices include VAT for orders within Sweden and the EU. No additional VAT or customs fees are charged for orders within Sweden or the EU. For orders outside the EU, customs fees and VAT may apply according to the regulations of the destination country and must be paid to the carrier before delivery. VAT will not be charged for orders shipped to countries outside the EU.
- Fraudulent orders may be reported to the police and incur a handling fee of 500 SEK.
- Orders without payment will be cancelled after 5 business days unless we are notified of a valid reason.
Deliveries
- All deliveries are under our responsibility.
- Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information for delivery.
- Customers must be aware of local regulations regarding specific products in their region or country. We reserve the right to cancel orders if it is determined that the buyer is not legally permitted to purchase or import the product(s).
- Fraudulent orders incur a handling fee of 500 SEK.
- We reserve the right to choose the carrier we deem most appropriate. Currently, deliveries are handled by DHL, PostNord, UPS and others. This is subject to change without notice.
- Shipments are made according to the terms and conditions of the respective carrier. We ensure that all orders are shipped within 24 hours on weekdays. Deliveries within Sweden usually take 1 day, within Europe 3-5 days and internationally 5-15 days. A tracking number will be emailed to the customer upon shipment (does not apply to letter deliveries).
- Complaints for missing deliveries must be made via email to [email protected] within 30 days of confirmed shipment. However, we recommend that you contact us within 5 days if you have not received a delivery notification to avoid unnecessary returns.
Uncollected items and cash on delivery
- If a shipment is returned to us due to incorrect information, uncollected COD packages or failure to collect the delivery on time, the customer will be charged for the costs incurred plus a handling fee of 250 SEK.
Right of withdrawal
- A 14-day right of withdrawal applies to all purchases, calculated from the date the item is received. To cancel a purchase, notify us via email at [email protected].
- Returns without prior approval may be refused.
- The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs. Refunds will be made within 30 days via the same payment method originally used. All costs associated with the return are the responsibility of the customer.
- The right of withdrawal does not apply to products with broken seals, damaged goods or damaged packaging. The customer is responsible for ensuring correct packaging when returning.
Complaints, Returns and Warranties
- If you receive the wrong item, a defective item, or a missing item, please notify us immediately at [email protected]. Please attach photos or videos to support your claim.
- In cases where the product must be returned for inspection, we will cover the shipping costs. If the problem is found to be due to improper use, all costs incurred (minimum 250 SEK) will be charged to the buyer.
- We reserve the right to determine how complaints will be handled (e.g. replacement, repair, refund or credit).
- Visible defects or delivery problems must be reported within 30 days of payment. Hidden manufacturing defects can be reported within 3 years of purchase, provided they are reported within 2 months of discovery. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or the expected life of the product.
- Refunds are processed within 30 days of the refund decision and are made via the original payment method.
- Warranties follow the terms and conditions stated in the product descriptions.
- If you are dissatisfied with our decision, you can contact the Swedish National Complaints Board (ARN) at www.arn.se.
Personal information
By placing an order with us, you agree that we store and use your data for our business. According to Swedish data protection legislation, you have the right to request information about the information we have about you. If the information is incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant, you can request corrections or deletion by contacting us via email.
