Design and Function

The Norse Hawk features a curved cutting edge that allows for deep and powerful cuts. The axe terminates in two sharp points, with the lower one traditionally used to catch an opponent's shield, leg, arm, shoulder, or neck. This gave the user an advantage by temporarily immobilizing or pulling the opponent closer to defeat them. The upper point was used for direct chops or to penetrate and gouge with a thrusting motion.
