The long, downward-sloping spear point, common to nearly all Kris swords, offers a superb balance between cutting power and thrusting ability. The sharp, robust points are designed to cut effectively at extreme distances, yet are sharp enough for efficient stabbing. The base of the blade terminates in traditional, ornate ”file-cut” flanges, providing protection for fingers and the lower forearm.
