Cold Steel – 88RLG – JADE LION GIM Sword

The Cold Steel Jade Lion series has proven to be incredibly popular with Chinese Martial Artists and blade collectors alike. Hand forged and expertly tempered from high-quality Damascus steel, their subtly patterned blades are as sharp as they are beautiful. The heavy guard and pommel are cast from nickel-silver and adorned with watchful Chinese lions. Providing exquisite contrast to the jade green cord and samé wrapped handles and very skin wrapped rosewood scabbards. The Lion Gim is a civilian self-defense Wen Jian (Scholars Sword), with a little more panache than the practical versions (like our own Gim Sword) that were made for the battlefield. In our tests it severed and pierced 4 bamboo poles with a single cut or thrust.
