This differential hardening creates a clay-tempered Hamon in the distinct Japanese style, adding to its authenticity. The attractive hardwood handle is tightly wrapped in black silk cord and includes the traditional Menuki and Samé (Ray Skin) wrap, providing a comfortable and secure grip. The included black-lacquered Saya (scabbard) is made of hardwood and is finished with traditional Japanese-style silver/nickel fittings, complementing the sword’s elegant appearance.
